Launchpad + Ableton Live: working without the mouse/QWERTY

I'd like to create a mouseless setup in Ableton Live. I have a Launchpad with Automap Pro.
The things I'd like to do is: move clips around + copy/paste them.
I already used Automap Pro to set-up arrow keys in my Launchpad + 3 buttons assigned to cut, copy & paste.
The only problem is I can't select multiple clips, which is absolutely crucial.
Using the qwerty keyboard, I'd just hold shift, but I can't assign 'shift' to a pad on the Launchpad for some reason.
Can anyone think of a workaround?
Thanks in adavnce
