Hi Guys,

I have a project that will just not open, every time i try to open I get error "a serious program error has occured live wil shut down bla blah blah" I think this is due to a crash related to dblue glitch, does anyone know how i can get around this so I can get my work back!?

try renaming your plug in folder or moving the dblue glitch plug in.
you can also try moving/renaming your preferences.cfg file, I forget where it is.

Thanks for your advise, I will try moving the VST completely

With regards to bug reports they seem a bit poinless though as I have sent many in the past but no response/reply/updates of any kind.

don't worry about a response, that doesn't mean that you didn't help them fix this bug. it seems they get a lot of bug reports, they can't take time to write a note to every single user. people have said this before and once in a while someone from Ableton posts that they can't give individual attention like that.

they can't fix what they don't know about.

I'd appreciate it, I also use dblue glitch from time to time, fun plug in.

definitely try moving the plug and/or the VST folder first though. that way you'll know for sure if it's to blame.

oh and the Documents and Settings folder has been changed to "Users" in Windows 7. i'm not sure about Vista, but i wouldn't be surprised if it was changed there first.

I'm running into this same issue, however I cannot find a directory named applications and data. It just has ableton listed, no preferences listed.

I had the same problem with Glitch. Especially with 2 of them in one set. Turning Glitch off before saving seems to make it less crashy.

Live let me open the set after I set the Driver Type to No Audio in Preferences->Audio.

i don't know what version of Windows you're using, but you have to "Show Hidden Files and Folders [and drives]" in all of them to see it.
when you get to:
C:/Documents and Settings/[username]/
in Win XP
or
in Win 7 (and probably Vista)
C:/Users/[username]/

go to "Tools" then "Folder Options" and go to the "View" tab.

Alternatively, in Win 7 (for sure) you can click "Organize" choose "Folder and Search Options" and you'll get to the same dialogue box as in the previous instructions... click on the "View" tab.
