Hey Guys...
i´ve been on a Beardyman Concert... for those of u who don´t know him... plz watch this

now u should understand why i´m absolutely blown away... anyway... the last 2 days i have done nothing else then watching his videos... to find out how he is doing it...
i am especially interested in the signal routing... this should be possible with ableton, right? but is it possible to become that fast in looping and fxing?
does anybody have any knowledge or idea how he is working...
or can u provide links to where he´s explaining his work (haven´t found any, sorry)

I think he's even not plugged on the computer, everything seems to be done on KP with his microphone!

Even several kickdrums are mouth recordings.

Ya, I was blown away too, was at his concert in Cork city recently. He has change his set over the last year or so, now he uses 4 quad Kaoss pads to set loops and efx. I have been trying this in Ableton Live and the answer is in the Looper, try setting up audio track with a looper and use another audio track as your signal source.

absolutely right.

Regarding to routing: Maybe I'm wrong, but I think he uses an Edirol digital mixer with the KPs. So he might have set up scenes in the mixer to feed the different KPs and do the routing. I've seen him live yesterday evening and he often had his left hand on the mixer.

Guys like Beardyman and Dub FX are some of my favorites right now, cant wait to finally see Beardyman live in Detroit at Movement next weekend

Beardyman is a great show, he really makes it about the people coming to see him. He started the shows in Ireland with the theme tune from Fr. Ted (local comedy show), this grabbed the audience straight away. So he had the eating out of his hand from then on. I think Beardyman and DubFX are the best performers of this right now! Its a real PERFORMANCE!
