M-Audio Oxygen 8 Midi install

Hello everyone,
I recently successfully installed my old Oxygen Midi controller for use with Ableton and everything was working fine. Yesterday, when I started Ableton, something went wrong or a setting changed and I can't get it to work anymore.
So far I have rebooted my computer and reinstalled the drivers for Oxygen. (I'm running Vista Sp2 64-bit & using a m-audio fastrack pro) & that didn't help. Back in Ableton, when I hit a note on the Midi controller, the small yellow box in the upper right of the Ableton interface flashes, so I at least know that it sees it. So I'm guessing that there's something wrong with my midi/ sync settings under preferences.
Under midi sync:
Control Surface: Oxygen8
Input: Legacy Keyboard midi in (I also have the option of 3-Legacy Keyboard Midi In)
Output: Legacy Keyboard Midi out
Under midi ports:
I have all the Track and Remote buttons switched on, which include "3-Legacy Midi Keyboard in & out", "Oxygen 8 input and output", and "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth"
...and now Ableton isn't even seeing the midi controller and I have no idea what I did this time to upset the Ableton gods. I especially feel dumb right now because I don't use forums that often and I can't figure out how to upload my screencaptures. I'm guessing I have to upload it to it's own url or something. Please help, I'm baffled
