SSD for macbook pro 2011

Just recently bought one of the new quadcore 15" macbook pro's.
I'm looking for the proper SSD for it. I can get one of the Crucial M4
types for a fair price, but I've read that some has problems with it..
For those of you with the "2011 Macbook pro and SSD" experience..
What would be my best bet for a SSD drive?

When it comes to audio and video work it's all about capacity over supposed slight performance increase.
Saw there's a 480G SSD laptop drive going for about $1,600. Fuuuuuuuuck that.

I have a 2009(I think) aluminum MacBook with an Intel SSD in it and I love it. I've never read about any confirmed issues with them, I say go for it.

That's wrong. When it comes to playing live on a stage that is being shaken by bass frequencies, it's all about the bouncing reading head of your hard disk...

there are the older SATA 3Gb/s models, and the more expensive SATA 6Gb/s models...

Do you know how good the garbage collection of the mercury extreme is? I'm a bit afraid that it will get slower after some months?

they use Sandforce controllers with overprovisioning, and tests show that they don't slow down over time, even without TRIM support in the operating system.

I just put a Vertex 2 on my MacPro and it's the only thing that has given me any performance gains over the last two years. Cheapest way to breathe life into a computer.
Saying that I'd go with either the new Intels or the Vertex 3 both have sata 3 connections. You could also take out your DVD superdrive and put the old hard disk in there for samples etc.
