Quantizing samples?

How can I quantize samples?
I'm in session view and I'll record a long audio sample (maybe a few minutes long), and then I want to crop a few seconds of that sample and loop it, and build from there. Ableton doesn't know the BPM of this cropped sample (nor do I), the global tempo remains at 120. So if I record additional clips, they're quantized according to the global settings and not in sync with that first cropped sample.
Is there a way of letting Ableton know, for example, this cropped sample's time signature is 5/4 (so if its 5 seconds long, each beat must be one second). So that each subsequent clip will follow that first sample's tempo? I'm sure there's a way to do this but I can't figure it out.
Thanks.
