I'm going into the fades command and an evil dotted red line comes up prohibiting my fade from going any further forcing me to draw in my fade manually through the track volume function. I saw this being done effortlessly in this youtube tutorial. How come he can do it and I can't!

If I import the bounced stereo pair into a new session I can create the fades but not within the original session where I need to have the fades?
