Taking clips from arrangement view to session view

Hi,
I find the easiest way of recording on the fly is to have a looping area set up in arrangement view over a number of different tracks that all have different returns/fx already set up. However once ive recorded lots of tracks in arrangement view it'd be really good to be able to switch to session view and have all the clips already there so I can then improvise with them instead of having to drag them across individually. Is there a way of doing this or a better way of looping on the fly? I've looked at loads of looper tutorials but they all seem to end with the recorded data being sent to one track which seems limiting as It's good to be able to mix different levels/panning and effects.
I fully accept that I may be missing something here and would welcome having it pointed out, thanks, Jim
