No Computer keyboard midi output when NoiseMaker in focus?

Hi,
I recently downloaded Noisemaker as a component plugin, because the mac vst version doesn't show up in Live for some reason.

I use my laptop keyboard to play instruments. After I armed the midi track with Noisemaker in it, I can play it without problems, but when I click in the Noisemaker window to change the settings, I cannot play notes anymore until I click somewhere in Live to put the focus on the Live window. No need to tell you this is very annoying.

So if anyone could confirm me that it is a bug and there is nothing I can do, I would appreciate. And if someone has an idea on how to fix this behaviour I would love to hear it.

I'm using Analog with Redux as a substitute, but I can't quite reproduce the sounds. I think it has to to with the filters.

Thanks for any comments.

No idea on the issue really but a suggestion might be to invest in a cheap MIDI keyboard. Seriously.

Even a Korg nanoKey which you can find for about $30 new would give you more flexibility than a PC keyboard. I use a nanoKey as a "preview" keyboard on my main desk when sifting through patches. It gives you access to velocity and can easily shift over the keyboards range.

I started out in the mid 90s using a PC keyboard as my music input device and I can tell you that the best piece of gear I got was a full MIDI keyboard which I still use.

Thanks, I will get one someday. Until then, my laptop keyboard will have to do.

So can anyone try this for themselves and tell me whether it's just me, or just the way it is?
NoiseMaker is free, and an excellent synth, so you won't waste you time helping me!
