Unwantd pitch bend from midi controller

I have a M-Audio Keystation 49e plugged into my USB and the issue is that it plays the notes fine until I start recording and then I start getting pitch bends thrown at me randomly. Anyone know how to disable pitchbend? Is there any explanation for why this is happening?
