Tell me effects to try with Slaperoo

i got the http://www.slaperoo.com and have it directly plugged into Ableton with a usb to 1/4" cord. I've used amp but that just plays like its in an amp. I need pedal effects to make it sound funky. The sounds seems to be delayed quite a bit is this normal?
