I'm seriously considering an s950, but dont fancy the endless limitations and button pushing!

Can anyone suggest a good Ableton Rack to get a good tight 12-bit style sound, on the output of say an Impulse?

I know everyone says 'stick a bit crusher on the output' but i think there's more going on there - I wondered if there was a good combination of EQ3, compressor, vinyl distortion to give a rounded 12-bit ''style'' sound?

Has anyone attempted a chain/rack like this?

Try Decimort. it´s not just a bit-crusher. You can work the frequencies with it.

Someone posted an SP-1200 rack a while back. Great results! You could track that down and see if does what you're looking for, or modify it to your needs.

Found this SP1200 style, which is really gritty, and uses the Abe's FX! Will try and tweak to get a tight 950 sound also..
