Is it possible to copy clips to another scene and have them be "ghost" copies, so that if I change the original clip (like edit a note or something) all of the copies will change also?

Sorry but no. :/ They would each have to be replaced.

You could have 2 tracks with different instruments and effect. The second track set up so it receives midi from the first track.
You can then listen to different instruments playing the same clip. Then if you chose to alter notes in the clip, you only have to do it once and both tracks will pick it up.
Not sure if that's what you were looking for, but anyway here you go.

Another potential work around that might or might not work for you. Instead of duplicating the clip in the other scene just remove the stop button. Then when you launch that scene the same clip will keep playing.
