Ableton Forum

I'm running Windows 7 with a Dell Inspiron quad core processor. My 3rd party VSTs are fine but the presets for the Ableton effects are not recoginized. The Library file is in the correct path and in preferences it's pointing to it but still nothing...any help. Searched these forums and attempted suggestions as well as Google. My old computer has XP and it worked fine without having to move or point or copy anything...very frustrated

sorry of course I meant Windows 7 lol. The effects are there but there are no presets and I'm getting error messages when I try to repair the library. The library is in the right path c:username/mydocuments/ableton/library and in the ableton preferences its pointed to that directory but still nothing. When I browse the effects instead of a list of several dofferent presets it says :"current project (temp)" I've several clean reinstalls with the same result everytime.
