Google Plus!

Post by grahamcracker » Fri Jul 01, 2011 2:01 pm

Though it may fail like Google Wave, it's possible for it to succeed like gmail. I first want to ask does anyone have invites? I second want to ask what do you think of it?

Just read yesterday that invites have been temporarily shut down - they aren't even letting people in who have invites at the moment.

Well, if it works as advertised, and people start using it, then hell yeah ill switch from Facebook.
Facebook is geting on my nerves with all the constant "friendly" spam.
I dont want people to tag or add me to any group without asking first. But they do, and you have to look up that group, browse your name from sometimes huge lists, and from there you can uncheck the group, and thus stop all the spam. Next day, you have been taged and added to lots on new shit. And here we go again.

All the privacy stuf with google + sounds great. But its google, so im naturally sceptic..

Been playing with it this morning, really like it. So much better than FB for me.

I have invites, but they're currently not accepting participants...

If they get this right, it's going to win where Facebook fails.

May I please have the gift of one of those invites and they'll let me in when they start accepting again?

I would definitely love to leave FB and still think about it but I don't doubt most of my friends are already too attached to it to not have it as their main social site; Google+ will appeal to the more geekier types, but to the masses I think it would be too much trouble and still probably to tech-y for them.
I hope to god I'm wrong.

It's easier to use than FB IMO, but yeah, probably not going to replace it anytime soon.

Sheesh... All this work just to make the web more like real life... I don't see anybody working on what we really need: the opposite! Make real life more like the web! Whenever someone bores or bothers me in real life, I'd like to click "report spam", and never have to see the person again.
