So I play guitar and in the last months been learning piano. I want to produce electronic music and I bought dcam synth squad but I find it extremely complex and I dont understand anything although those presets are awesome.

So I was wandering how do you learn synthesis? Trial and error? teachers? hmm

any help is greatly apreciated

trial and error, one dial at a time. just had a look at the synth... its a lot to take in. the strobe looks the simplest to understand. like a roland sh101. a bit. maybe. filters are probably the best place to start, then amp envelopes, then mod envelopes, then lfos.

This series of articles is excellent and will teach you about synthesis from first principles on up: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/allsynthsecrets.htm

Edit: Nice! Just checked that synth.tk link and I see that they have all of the Synth Secrets articles linked there.
