Can you be more specific? What are you trying to accomplish?

Any stereo signal can be approached as M-S instead of L-R with the right tools.

Some of the Live effects support M-S processing of stereo signals, the 8-band EQ is one of them.

There are third party plugs (some free) that can split stereo into M-S and/or recombine.

Voxengo MSED...free

MSED works great, I use it all the time. Of course anything you put after it to affect the M or S channel individually needs to have seperate controls for L and R channel.

stereo width is what i'm looking for, plus that unique m/s sound.

Not sure I understand what you mean by unique m/s sound?

Just build your own rack...

Make a rack with two chains.
Put utility in one with width at 0% and call mid
put utility in the other and with width at 200% and call it sides

You can now process your stereo tracks with mid side using any plugin you want

that is not going to help you process M/S of a stereo track. you have to separate mid from side first

all you're doing here is creating a mono chain of the stereo track and an uber-wide chain of the stereo track

Slightly off topic, but did you ever try the free plugin "Up Stereo" ?

Bear in mind that you will lose it all if the track is ever played mono, not necessarily the best tool for wide stereo width.
