Hi.
When an effect is assigned to a track is it possible to turn the effect on or off by selecting different clips in the track.
Thanks in advance for any info

Re: Track Effects
I imagine there may be a way.
Clip envelopes may allow you to select this functionality, just draw it in.
Gonna try it now.
Hold please
There may be, but I cannot figure it out in the few minutes I've checked things out, good luck

Re: Track Effects
Clip envelopes will allow different clips to adjust individual parameters of an effect but I don't think they allow you to switch effects on and off. For some effects (e.g. reverb)you can use a workaround by letting the clip envelope modulate the dry/wet control; however many effects don't have a dry/wet type control.
Re: Track Effects
A new feature introduced in Kdenlive is track effects. There are several situations where this can be useful. Accessing the Track Effects pane in GarageBand11 puts all sorts of creative tools at your fingertips.

Re: Track Effects
you can do it via audio effect rack: open an empty one and enable the "chain" section (middle one of the three buttons on the left), and in there again the "chain" view. you can set up several independent effect chains and give them kind-of an ID (via the "zone" settings). just apply a 1-number-zone to each effect chain. then in your clips, you can use a clip envelope to switch to the right chain ("chain selector" envelope).
