What's a better soundcard choice?

Looking for some outside opinions on this one. I'm looking to upgrade my soundcard and monitors in the next week and I'm wondering what'll be a better choice? The M-audio delta 410 or the E-mu 0404 Proteus X PCI Sound Module?? I don't have a use for 10 outputs just yet but I'm thinking they could come in real handy in the near future. Also to connect my monitors looks like I might have to go RCA to XLR and I'm wondering if this might degrade sound quality.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

The motu 828 mk 2is a solid, solid performer. I've also recently gotten the m-audio ozonic, and it has been really dope so far.
