Windows 7 upgrade now mP3 don't run??

Please help I've upgraded from xp to 7 and loads of my mp3 files don't run some that I just bought which run on other pcs. It keep saying file name is bad or file is corrupt hut I know they are not
Is there anything I can do ?
Please assist !

Are they really .MP3 file or are they some sort of protected file format?
It doesn't sound logical that this would happen.
I know that early beta (unfinished) version of Win7 would sometimes corrupt the metadata of some .mp3 files at mess up the start of the song but that was fixed a LONG time ago.

update to or download the latest version of Quicktime. Live depends on it for mp3 decoding.

Thank you so much can't believe it was something so simple how weird all working fine now, I would have never figured that out
