Hi,

I work for a digital arts center in Leicester in the east midlands and am very keen to host an event similiar to the expo 74 in england.

I believe we have an ideal venue which is centrally located and easily accessable from Leicesters train and bus station. I would also be able to offer cheap 24 hour parking, onsite catering and a possible deal for cut price accomodation with a local hotel.

We are a modern building with several good spaces and great technical support with a good track record of hosting events similiar to this for 100+ people.

My main question is would there be enough interest in this to make it viable?

Is this something that people would travel to attend, I think the event would have to be ticketed but I am keen to keep the cost to a minimum as i'm much more interested in people coming.

Anyway, just throwing the idea out there, it would be really great to hear from people that would be interested in attending this type of event, and also anyone that might be interested in getting involved.

Absolutely, we have loads of great film makers here as well as great equipment and facilities for doing that. Great idea and trhanks for all the feedback so far!

Thanks for all the interest so far, it would be great to get some feedback as to the kind of topics people would like to see covored in workshops and/or presentations at such an event.

If it can include some work on building and enabling alternative control devices in Live there will be a lot of music workers, like myself who work with the physically impaired who’d be interested.

Also I am personally interested on how Max can be used to enhance Live as a VJ+DJ platform.
