Sampler/Simpler playback speeds

He guys, I think I know the answer (and I'm a BIG noob) but is there any way to play back samples in the sampler or simpler at the live set tempo at different pitches using at keyboard - i.e. without it slowing down or speeding up with pitch descrease/increase?? I read the manual but there isn't much to go on there. Sorry if this has been covered but I couldn't find anything on the forum either.

ok. sorry everyone, found the answer = and that's no! Does any other DAW do this? Logic??

If it doesn't have to be polyphonic, you can map a keyboard range (by holding 2 keys) to clips. By holding a 3rd key in between those 2 keys, you can set a Root Note.
