Ableton crashes while pre-listening to acapellas

Hi,
I juste put some acapellas in my samples collection and I enjoyed a lot the fact that I will be able to use vocals in my production but something happened.
While pre-listening to the acapellas in the library menu on the left, Live crashes without reasons and still plays the music behind. The display freezes but the music is still there.
When I put samples in my productions I never had this problem.
Does someone have an idea about the solution?
Thank you!

Perhaps the accapella artists are so bad without the backing music it makes Ableton kill itself to save your ears? Built-in safety feature
Or
you have downloaded a pack of MP3 accapella files and the encoding is really bad in the files and causes Ableton to crash? If it's MP3 files try and use some software to convert to WAV and use these instead.

This sounds like a bug, probably based on a condition in the files you're trying to load. If so, then there's no "official" way to fix it, and you should get in touch with Ableton's technical support.

Seems like a pain in the ass if i have to convert all my acapellas to wave just to listen to them, this was not a problem in 7live.

Downgrade to Live 7 again?
What version of Live 8 are you using? Is it the latest BETA? If not, try that and see if they may have fixed this issue.
As for converting accapellas being a PITA, sometimes these things are. The trick to just getting on with it though is to find and use a workaround. Not ideal, no, but it will work until this is fixed. Preview the files outside Ableton then when you find a canditate for your project, convert to WAV... Ableton converts the MP3 to WAV anyway when you use it in a mix.
