i.e. you can set a fader (such as the Master or Track Volume Level) to never cross the 0dB line, without having to hard-map the fader to a MIDI device and select the limit in the MIDI Map menu.

This would be useful for APC40 users who want to take advantage of dynamic mapping but also want a 0dB ceiling for faders, a benefit currently only afforded by hard mapping and wasting a slider.

you can map the track faders to keys on your computer keyboard, but the problem with that is that you could only do minimum and maximum settings, no in between....
i mean it almost sounds as if you would have to buy another controller with just faders on it, if you aren't going to use the apc's faders to control track levels?

stick a limiter on the channel?

I just take the track level down to -6 on all clips.

But yeah it'd be nice not having to "workaround" yet another pretty simple problem.
