Tap Tempo of New Audio Clip? Multiple Tempos in Arrangement.

I couldn't really figure out how to search for the question I'm about to ask, and I did search a little bit before-hand so apologies if this is a redundant question.
I have a project that I'm recording from scratch in arrangement view. It has multiple tempos throughout the song (three to be exact). The master tempo is set to the first clip I recorded and tapped in. Now I need to find the tempo of the next clip, but when I do Ableton warps the entire project tempo and makes everything all wonky. I know how to draw in a tempo change in automation on the master track, but I don't know the tempo of this particular clip, so I can't just manually enter it.
Basically, I'm looking for a way to tap the tempo change of a clip in arrangement view so that, for the duration of that clip, the tapped tempo is the master.
Or is there an easier way of doing this that I'm just not seeing.
Thank you kindly,
M.
