Hey y'all, I was using Ableton with Maschine in this way for a minute and finally got down to writing a tutorial for a website on how I did it:

it's kinda rough but it works...you have to "Open Configuration" in Maschine editor instead of "Append" and that should be switched up online soon so it doesn't confuse more heads. one person asked for a 4x4 redbox and having the pads launch clips which i s'pose I'll do sometime soon.

I just have to figure out how to alter the python script to suit my needs.

i just got my maschine and immediately i wondered where the damn box was. i have a launchpad too and it is super easy to get lost without the box (and with a launchpad, it's easy to get lost with one haha). All I want to do is modify the default Ableton template that comes with maschine so that a 4x4 box corresponds to the BEFG buttons, and add a page that controls drum racks with the pads and knobs corresponding to the macros. Think you could help me with that? Thanks so much man.
