I just got an APC40 and I love it, the only problem is that the Input option under Preferences -> Midi Sync gets greyed out AFTER I:
1. Close Live.
2. Turn off the APC40.
I've tried multiple USB ports and it's still a no go.
I'm running Windows 7.
Only MIDI controller I have is an APC40.
Only USB devices plugged apart from APC40 is my mouse and keyboard(qwerty).
No Logitech Webcam etc.
I've emailed AKAI already but thought what the hell, Ill post here too.
Here's some reference pics:

You may have noticed I'm using an APCAdvanced script, but even when selecting the standard APC40 I get the same results.
Thanks!
Live won't recognize my APC40?
Re: Live won't recognize my APC40?
Well, it would be greyed out after closing Live or turning off the APC because in either of those scenarios it's like the APC is not even there. I don't understand what the problem is bro. Does it work when Live is open and the unit is turned on? If so, then ur all good man!
Re: Live won't recognize my APC40?
I guess I should've been clearer.
After turning off the APC40 and closing Live, if I turn it back on, then boot up Live again it greys out the Input.
I am forced to restart my computer if I want to get it going again.
This is standard?

Re: Live won't recognize my APC40?
Oh I see. No that should not be happening. You should NOT have to restart to get it working again. It could be that custom script causing the issue but honestly apart from MIDI preferences, which you seem to have right, I can't think of why it would do that.
