I use the x-station but pretty much its just a blank template with all available CC's accounted for....then program from there differently for each project.

You have to program a control number to the knob/fader/button. You do that in the template edit menu. Real quick off the top of my head....(at work...xtation isnt in front me).
1. Select the template you want to edit.
2. Press Template Edit to enter the menu.
3. Twist/Push/Slide the Knob/Button/Fader you want to edit to select it.
4. Use the up arrows to scroll through that K/B/F's parameters.
5. Set control type to CC. Give it a unique CC number.
6. Set the control types...and other parameters to customize the controls to your liking.
7. This should be step 1....consult the manual.
It would be nice if Novation would finish the X-station template editor program they are working on. They are taking forever with it.
Perhaps this week if I find the time I will dump the template I use that has all controls assigned to a CC number and post the template for download.

Novation doesn't develop any of their software. They out-source. They are at the mercy of 3rd party developers. Bah!
