Ableton Forum

Hi guys

When i try to search for anything I get the error "index failed: database disk image is malformed" I have seen several threads for this on the forum but they seemed to be all windows users. I am on a mac with 8.2. with osx 10.6.8

Any of you have advice how to fix this please?

having same problem here on 8.2.5. osx 8.6.6

I wanted to post a solution to a technical problem: "database disk image malformed", which prevented me from: save as, collect all and save, search, and record enable.

solution (on Mac): delete files from: users/home/library/caches/index

file path there is not quite right, forgot the ableton folder, so: users/home/library/caches/ableton/index

but, this did work, so thank you, would never have known otherwise.
