I give up how do i get a line tool!

for midi volumes
to draw a steady volume increase?

Try ctrl+b. Or the pencil tool up top.

To draw a velocity ramp, select the notes you want to affect, and, without switching to pencil mode, press and hold ctrl while you draw a line in the velocity area of the clip.

sorry for the late reply
- select all notes or CTRL+A
- PENCIL OFF
- CTRL ON
- then drag the velocity area (not clicking on a note velocity bar)
