I'm trying to re arrange an audio file using Live 8. Like, I'm trying to re arrange the pre recorded lyrics and remove dead space.
How might I go about doing this?

I've tried highlighting the part of the track I'd like to change, but cut, copy and paste won't work at that point.
I'm sorry for such a noobish question, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

are you working in arrangement view? because that is where you would do these sorts of edits. also, Cmnd + E will split clips, in case you find that useful, I do.
