live 8.2.2 not responding when loading on osx10.5.8

suddenly wont load, just hangs and i get (not responding) when pressing cmd+alt+esc..

please help.

for the record, just re-installed program only and still wont load....?

erm... WTF?!?!?!

for the record, i had live 8.2.1 still installed. i ran that and it opened fine. this is racking my brain..
