I'd like to pitch correct a small passage I am singing but I'm not sure how to work on the middle or end of the passage efficiently.
I am using Waves Tune plugin. I simply dragged it to the Plugin window of the vocal and on the first pass, the vocal was scanned. That means that for 8 bars, the plugin listens and creates a timeline of notes and pitch dynamics.
Now, when I play it back, if I adjust the lines and notes in the Waves Plugin itself, I can hear the resulting changes. But, I'd like to focus on bars 5-9 and I can't figure out how to do that. If I start playback in Live at bar 5, the plugin still starts at the beginning and the analyzed notes then don't match up.
The videos with ProTools require a dedicated silent track with ReWire but I thought Ableton 8 had this built in? Can anyone suggest what I am missing?
