Scrolling with VCM-600 audio glitch issue

Hello everyone. I had a quite alarming issue last week at a gig using my Vestax VCM-600.
On my quad-core Desktop Windows 7 PC I had no issues with the controller.
Once I moved the Ableton 8.2 set to my dual core laptop (core 2 duo P8600 @ 2.40 Ghz with 2gb of ram) with approximately 50 full length songs I noticed a significant amount of audio glitches and pops when using the scene scroll knob. I turned off everything including the 2 3rd party plugins and I still had issues when scrolling scenes.
Using my vcm600 with many scenes of short clips I have no issues on the same laptop. This was the first time I DJed complete songs from other artists instead of playing short 1-4 bar clips on the controller.
Is this a ram issue? Everything else worked well but scrolling???
Thank you,
Michael
