Move to next cell while recording?

Hi all.
Probably a dumb question but I would like to record 2 bars then have Live move to the next clip slot down, record 2 bars there and so on automatically down the session window until I press stop. At the moment I have to keep pressing buttons on the APC to do this. I could also just record one long file and duplicate it but then I have to set the loop points manually for each instance of the file. Is there a way?
Thx

Interesting, I'd like to try this too. Could there be a way with follow actions or do you need to have an audio clip sitting there in order to set up follow actions? Would be nice if you could do this somehow with follow actions workaround.

Maybe if you set up a column of blank audio clips with follow actions set up already and the OVR button on.
Or the 2 footswitches on the apc40 will work to play selected clip and move to next scene.

I'm on a Mac so I was thinking there might be a way to loop midi around via the IAC bus so that a Live midi track could trigger the audio clips but this seems like a huge bodge.

My limited understanding tells me the overdub switch is for midi only. If only....

Jamming into live then pressing the buttons in a musical frenzy seems to be very much Live's intended work flow to me! The more I use Live the more deficient I find it. This is the 2nd deal breaker shortcoming I have encountered in my admittedly short flirtation. I really wanted it to be everything I needed.
