I'm having a difficult time getting my MPC 1000 to communicate with Live 8. I want to be able to map the MPC pads to trigger clips within Live, but I can't seem to get Live to recognize MIDI signals from the MPC at all. The MIDI cables are plugged in correctly, and I've tried adjusting the settings within the MPC and Live's midi preferences menu.. nothing seems to work. It's never been a problem with my other devices (APC40, Alesis keyboard, Handsonic, etc) which are more or less "plug-and-play". Just not sure what to do and the internet isn't being very helpful so far.. Any ideas?
