Codecs?

Post by justchris86 » Fri Aug 12, 2011 3:44 pm

hey guys, so i am having issues playing the tracks i export out of ableotn. i believe this has something to do with codecs. But when i ask windows media player to find the codecs it gives me a big WTF?

Any idea on what codecs are required to play these? Its just a regular old wav file but it doesn play. If i take it to my mac it works no problem!

its much more likely that you are exporting a wave with a high bit-depth, perhaps 32bit, or possibly 24.
I think many mediaplayers dislike playing high bitdepth waves.
or failing that it's a very high samplerate.

If you want a wave you can listen to on any player, render out at 16bit, 44.1 khz
