I think that genre already exists....I have not heard an original riff since: morbid angel, agony column, deicide, bolt thrower, etc..... the early 90's
and even that was just de-tuned, sped up thrash.....with the cookie monster on vocals. Kudos to the metal heads for being so environmentally conscious and recycling all those riffs....

Since music is cyclical I’m hoping for the return of Codependent Rock of the late 70’s and early 80’s. It was a time when men were men but 80% of the music was about begging her not to go. In retrospect that didn’t make a lot of sense back then. I think now the behavior would match the music.
