Live Keeps Crashing on Startup WTF!

Hi,
I'm using Live 8.2.1 on a Mac Book Pro (10.5.8).

I've been using live on this machine for a year and have had NO problems. I started up, and opened live, and shortly after it loaded a new set, it crashed. This keeps happening everytime.

I don't know what to do! It's crashing before I can even do anything that might cause this. I've tried resrtarting and doing a full power cycle but nothing. Even with all USB ports unplugged (nothing but power plugged in - and I have a full charge).

Please Help!!! I have a show Thursday, this can't happen!
Thanks!
Abe

Maybe an issue with your default template...

Try going into the Package contents/App resources/Templates then open one of the templates directly from there see if that resolves the problem.

Yeah, you should try to delete the "Preferences.cfg" , "Undo.cfg", "CrashDetection.cfg" and "Template.als" files. That usually does the trick.

I've had similar problem with certain plug-ins contained in my default set.

And I have also had this happen if certain plugins are in my VST folder.

Probably plug-in related. Especially if you have expired demos asking for authorization, or don't have an ilok plugged in.
