Is there a plugin to view waveform in Ableton like FLStudio?
Is there a plugin to view waveform in Ableton like FLStudio?
I have seen many different programs but they don't have the visual I am looking for. I want something that looks similar to either the display in FL Studio or the display in Serato Scratch Live.
Anyone know of a plug-in?
Cheers,

sorry perhaps I wasn't clear.
I want to put this on the Master to see the whole waveform... not just the audio waveform of one audio channel.
There is one built into FL Studio that is pretty much exactly what I am looking for just something that works with Ableton.

I have FL Studio but i don't understand your question. Whole waveform of what? Could you be more specific so i can help you..
Re: Is there a plugin to view waveform in Ableton like FLStudio?
sorry by whole waveform I meant the waveform of the master [all channels waveforms together]. (the guy previously suggested that I just look at the waveform on an audio track... which is not what I meant at all)
Re: Is there a plugin to view waveform in Ableton like FLStudio?
Not sure I'm getting this, but if you want to see the waveform of your full track, you could render it out as audio, then drag it back in to an audio track and open the clip view.
If you just want to see what's happening at any given point, just chuck a spectrum on the master.

Re: Is there a plugin to view waveform in Ableton like FLStudio?
i think the answer your looking for is no... not without rendering the master track and re importing it as an audio track.

But what can it show?
There is no clip on the master track.

Why not dig deeper and find out what it can show? It's free you know.. so just takes a few seconds of your time.
Besides, if you would have tried it before asking what it shows, you would realize you don't need a clip on the master for this to work.. nevermind the online documentation you can read without even downloading anything (conveniently linked ON the page suggested - http://bram.smartelectronix.com/scope_docs/)

Ya, sorry, you're right.cotdagoo wrote:Why not dig deeper and find out what it can show? It's free you know.. so just takes a few seconds of your time.
I was thinking along the lines of a complete readily analysed waveform and didn't look any further.
Will do better next time. Promise.

+1 it's useful for synth tweakings as well.. in fact .. uhe ACE has got one built-in the main guiShelLuser wrote:+1
Got that in my arsenal too and its proven to be an invaluable tool at times.
As to the OPs question... Dumping the spectrum or a vst like this onto the master track should accomplish what you're hinting at; getting a visual of the end result of your score. After all; the master track is where it all eventually comes together.

Again i am not clear what do you like since you didn't provide me accurate result but if you are seeking for visual representation of waveform like FL studio do you only have to buy JuicePack which contain wavecandy and put it on Ableton master to "see" waveform:

I undestand what you mean exactly, a visual plugin that lets you see the Red (for bass) Green (for Mids) Blue (Highs) with all in between of course. All this will give you a similar look to seratos waveform visual so that you can match up with your favorite tracks using visuals. I am looking for that exact same thing.
