Will the 2011 13" i7 MBP be able to run my sets smoothly

Hey guys, I'm trying to decide what MBP i should i get and I'm stuck between the 13" i7 2.7Ghz or the lower end of the two 15" MBP. I produce sampled hip hop beats so im usually running around 4 or 5 MIDI/Audio tracks in Ableton with EQ on each. And for my live sets I usually split live into 4 audio tracks with the various elements of my tracks placed in those four tracks (drums, sample, bassline, random one shots). I will however, be upgrading from the 4GB of RAM to 8GB of ram and be connecting to a 24" monitor so screen size does not matter. Do you think the 13" i7 with 8GB of ram will sufficiently run these scenarios or will I notice any slow down?

Thanks in advance!

My 13"base model runs all that and more just fine. You should have no problem with that model. Though screen size is tight...its still nice n portable.

This... try and stretch to the 15" especially if it's your only monitor.. The specs of the machine though will run fine, and some! :)

Well at home I have my 24" monitor I am going to connect two and for live sets i just need to be able to see my session view and waveforms so it seems like the 13" is my best bet. Thanks guys!

I'd get the 13" in that case - specwise - my 13" Macbook unibody runs Ableton great- although I'm not sure what kind of monster sets you're running.
