Rendering Latency ?

HI -
...the following thing i do not understand:
if I render a single track, single Audioclip, lets say a Kickloop absolutely precisely cut to the downbeat, the resulting audiofile after rendering shows that there is a little pause between start i.e. left corner of the sample until the waveform i.e the formerly precisely cut original starts....the rest of the beats look correct...
different latency settings (neither for the soundcard nor latency compensation in "Live" itself) changed this result....and there is no plugin in the audiostream...
My Setup:
Powerbook Titanium/550, RAM 768MB, ext.Firewire Drive, Hammerfall DSP
OS 9.2.2
cheers and peace
thanx
