Midi Controller Assignments Disappear When New Clip Added

I have programmed Live's Session View for my UC-33 Midi Controller. it works fine until I drag a new clip into a track.
When I drop a clip into any single track in session view, the Midi assignments (for that track only) disappear and have to be programmed again. That makes my midi assignment templates pretty useless in creating a new song. Any fix?
