Presets problem with OS X

Hi
I noticed a problem upgrading to os x lion with live 8.2.2 Problem is still there after update to 8.2.5.
Here's what happens. Whenever I open an old session (8.2.2 session), presets from certain synths are back to default preset, whichever preset I might have left it with last time I saved the session is gone.
Now before you tell me it's an issue with the third party plugin let me tell you that if I have multiple instances of that plugin instrument (let's say sylenth), well on some tracks it's back to default and on others it kept the right preset in memory !
And this happens with various instruments.
Also seems to act up with some automations lanes...
Anyone noticing the same kind of stuff ?
I don't seem to have that kind of problem with logic running on lion, and I was clever enough to partition my disk and keep a snow leopard disk on which everything is back to normal, when opening the exact same project...
Definitely a conflict between live and lion I'd say...
While I'm at it, even on snow leopard I'm forced sometimes to duplicate a track to have the audio coming through the new one as for some reason it refuses to come out of the original one...a bit annoying...
