As i updated Ableton Live; I've encountered a lot of crashes and my plug-ins are really slow(all the time). Is it the software or am i missing something?! Everything is up to date...

I have also a really big problem with my sound card in lion!!! Got the 8.2.5 Version running and it still didn't fix the crashing issues. My onboard sound card works very well. But my m-audio pro fire 610 always crashes after ca. 2 minutes of runtime. It's sounds like a crashing cpu. The tempo of the track slows down to almost the half bpm and I have to restart my application.

I have no idea what to do!
The m-audio support wasn't able to help me!

Please, does anybody has an idea from where this bug is coming from?

Hoe anybody can help me
Christian

I bought a new Macbook Pro with Lion cause the old one was dead. Yesterday we had a concert and I had horrible troubles with Lion and the latest Live and my Motu Ultralite v1.5. It has always been stable but this thing now is so crappy. Live often crashes when loading a set or the blank program. We found out one solution to make the set running again:
-switch off soundcard
-load a blank set
-quit
-switch on soundcard
-load blank set and select the interface in preferences
-quit
-load blank set and load the set via the internal live browser

When it is running, all my plugs (I dont use soo much - and no cracks) are running including Ohmforce, Kontakt and so.

I guess it´s Lion or a thing between Live and lion. Also other osx progs don´t run stable. Lion is horrible right now, I will use the previous version again.

Hasn't anybody a solution for that, guys?

EDIT:

I found this bug message in the lion console:
05.09.11 13:36:00,000 kernel: IOSurface: buffer allocation size is zero
