Problem assigning pads on akai mini mpk

Hello all,
Newbie on board so sorry if my question is a stupid one ..
I've just purchased an AKAI mpk mini and mapped it in live 8.2 using matthewadams posted info
http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php? ... =+mini+mpk
Mini mpk then appears under the preference as 2 USB peripherial ( one standard, another designated as emulated ?)
I set both of these peripherals "ON" for track and remote.
Knobs get midi assigned with no problem.
I had planned to use the pads to trigger some samples and the keys to play another instrument
I put 2 samples on 2 different tracks and assign the two samples to two different pads to launch them.
The first time I launch sample #1 it works fine but the sample keeps running over and over again. (I've tried setting the pad properties from "momentary" to "toggle" in the mpk midi setting editor software .. with no success)
If I launch sample 2 at the same time then the first sample will also run although I haven't pressed on pad #1
all pads are assigned to the same channel MPK midi editor leaves no other choice. I've got the same behaviour with the keys and same also even if I split the launch control between pads & keys ..
I don't know if anything I've written down makes sense, My point is that I'm trying to figure out if my midi mapping is faulty or wether I don't know how to use ableton correctly ..
Thanks for any help you people might give me !
