Cueing Fire Wire 410

Hey I am trying to use the multiple outputs on my Firewire 410 for cueing and auditioning songs in ableton. When I go to configure the available outputs it only shows outputs 1/2 mono and 1/2 stereo.
I have the driver type selected as MME/ directx .. ( If I try to switch to ASIO ableton crashes .. also it corrupts my sound card drivers and I have to re install )
With the directx driver selected it shows all the firewire 410's available outs but they do not show up in the configure window...
I have uninstalled my sound card drivers at least three times over... Combed through just about every thread I could find and still no luck...
I am using windows xp service pack 2, dell dimension, firewire 410, dual 2.9 GHz processors, 4 gig of ram, 500 gig hard drive, axiom 49, novation launchpad
