multi channel mixes

Is there development of multi channel mixes with Live? I've been playing with a program called Reaper, which allows you to mix single files with multiple channels, which comes in very handy in my work. I would love to be able to have this feature with Live, and be able to move sounds through multiple channels upon playback.

Anyone?

I'm pretty sure what you're describing is already possible in Live. Go to page 190 of the Live User Manual, and see if section 14.3 "Group Tracks" is what you had in mind.

That's not quite what I am referring to. I'm trying to create a bounce that has multiple channels. So that when I use the bounce, I can control up to 8 channels with one audio file. I use this feature with bounces I make in Reaper, and then inport them to a program called Qlab. In Qlab, I often use an 8 channel set up, routing each channel to a different speaker. The multi channel mix allows me to manipulate each channel on a single track, which taxes the machine less. Multi channel mixes are also used for surround sound systems, so the one track plays, but each channel is routed to the mains, rears or subs.

As far as I can tell, Live only allows for a stereo or mono bounce...

You're right, Live can't do that type of routing. Unless you use it with a third party app like Soundflower. The only downside is Soundflower is a tedious, buggy freeware app.
