How do I keep Looper on screen when playing samples?

This one's been infuriating me for a while... I've got Looper set up on a group of tracks in Ableton and the problem is that when I trigger any of the samples within either track the screen flicks off Looper and goes on to the audio devices attached to each individual track. The same thing happens if I have Looper as a Send instead of grouping the tracks.

I'm convinced there must be a way to do this because if you're sidechaining something surely you can make the screen stick on the device that's receiving the signal whilst triggering samples elsewhere.

Thoughts, anyone??

Try to turn "Select on Launch" off in the preferences dialogue>record/warp/launch.
