MIDI sync issue: playback/monitor vs. record

Hi!

I recently got my first Hardware Synth, a x0xb0x . It is now connected to receive MIDI sync from Albeton Live 8 via my M-Audio Radium-49 (serves as USB to MIDI Interface). Audio goes straight into my computer (Creative Audigy 2 ZS, I'm planning to get a new audio interface soon).

The Problem:
On higher Audio Driver Latency settings, the Audio is heavily delayed. I managed to reduce the latency to a minimum (more complex tracks are no more possible to play back now, because of high CPU usage), but there was still a recognizable delay. So I recorded the signal to a new audio track in live and checked the delay. It was about 30 ms. Now I tried to things, with different outcome:
First, I set up the MIDI delay in the preferences at my used MIDI/USB port. This solved the playback problem. However, the recorded signal was still delayed.
Then I used the External Instrument and set up the Harware Latency accordingly. Now the recorded signal was fine, but when playing back, there was again a slight delay. :?

Is it not possible to get both, monitoring and recording in sync :?:
:idea:I have two thoughts about this:
:arrow:Maybe its just the M-Audio Radium-49, that serves as USB to MIDI Interface, that introduces weird delays? Unfortunatly I have no direct MIDI connection to my soundcard.
 Do I have to find average values for both, MIDI and Audio delay? How to find out the exact delays I have to set up? Again, unfortunately I have no MIDI IN port to check for delays in this pathway...

Any help or thoughts about this would be really appreciated :!:
